Stepchild Faves – May 2015

Wow you guys! I must have lost track of all time this past month or so. When I got ready to start putting this post together I realized I never shared our Stepchild Faves from April. πŸ™

Instead of April showers bringing May flowers in my part of the country, we’ve had a ton of rain the last couple of weeks with abnormally cool temperatures for this time of year. I’ve enjoyed it, but now I’m ready for some sunshine so my grass and flower bed will get to growing. πŸ™‚

We also have an exciting announcement to make!

There’s a new writer on the scene here at Red Debted Stepchild. We hope you’ll extend a warm welcome to Kara Perez. Kara will be joining the RDS team in June to share the very last tidbit of her journey to get out of debt and what comes next.

Anyway, here are our fave posts from May in no particular order:

Young Adult MoneyΒ – 8 Ways to Make Money Blogging – Here at RDS we are all about the side hustle and making more money. πŸ™‚ In this post, DC shares some great ways that you can make money and take your blogging from hobby to business.

Budgets are Sexy – 6 Reasons Having One Savings Account Can Be Bad – Like J$ suggests in this post, I have more than one savings account so I can keep better track of the money I have saved up for different purposes. He also gives several other reasons why you should have more than one savings account.

Frugalwoods – Why I’m Grateful for Morning Sickness – This post has pretty much nothing to do with money, but we are so excited to learn that the Frugalwoods are expecting!! πŸ™‚

Club Thrifty – Is Entrepreneurship Really Better Than the 9-5? – Holly’s post came at the perfect time as I’ve been thinking a lot about whether or not I should pursue my freelance business full-time or not.

Making Sense of Cents – Is Being House Poor Limiting You? – I would definitely say “YES!” Being house poor can be very limiting to what else you are able to afford and do.

That’s it for this round peeps. We have you have a great weekend!
